Lied to the American Embassy in Baghdad, Qassim Atta, denied the team on an American plane landing in one of the streets Pfdad and admitted that one of its helicopters had to land near the Tigris River because of a technical malfunction, as it was re-confirmed the helicopter to its headquarters in the Green Zone, the help of Iraqi forces.

A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, Michael McClellan in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "U.S. helicopter suffered a mechanical failure this morning, prompting the emergency landing," noting that "the pilot landed by helicopter near the Tigris River."


McClellan added that "the embassy immediately contacted the Iraqi forces, which responded quickly and cordoned off the place," noting that "the flatbed truck belonging to the Embassy were evacuated by helicopter to its headquarters in the Green Zone in central Baghdad, accompanied by Iraqi forces."

The Baghdad Operations Command denied the words of the team spokesman, Qasim Atta, earlier in the day, any aircraft landing in the Haifa Street in central Baghdad.
