A new five-year plan promises to avoid the mistakes of the previous plan

The Ministry of Planning for its five-year plan for the years 2013-2017 based on the examination of the errors contained in the previous five-year plan for the years 2010-2014, which acknowledged that it did not achieve the desired success.

And says economist Bassem Jamil Anton said five-year plan next followed new measures including; reduce dependence on oil revenues, and activating the productive sectors such as industry, agriculture and tourism to achieve national product total exceeds the previous plans, pointing to the importance of monitoring the implementation of the plan on a regular basis to verify the completed ones.
It is worth mentioning that the United States announced its support for the Five-Year Plan of the Ministry of Planning between 2013 and 2017, to invest about 357 billion dollars in development projects across all of Iraq, through the project “thread” of the U.S. Agency for International Development USaid support the Strategic Framework Agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington.
