Iraqi Council of Representatives to reconvene Thursday Oct 6
Baghdad, 4 October / October (Rn) – Raising the Iraqi Council of Representatives on Tuesday, its 34th to Thursday next after the vote to repeal the decision of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council, as well as read eight draft laws.
The decision of Parliament Mohammed al-Khalidi told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the Presidency of the Council of Representatives meeting rose at the 34-to-day next Thursday after the Council voted to cancel the decision of dissolved Revolutionary Command Council No. 55 of 1999 and the report of the Legal Committee in order to resolve the cases of loss, families of employees of State departments and the public sector in the Iraq war – Iran and the Gulf War. “
He added that “the Council ended the first and second readings of eight draft laws,” adding, “The Council refused in principle to continue reading the draft law on entry into Iraqi law on contractors and sub-contractors with the multinational forces provided by the Commission on Security and Defence.”
He said al-Khalidi, “The Council completed the first reading of draft law on ratification of the Republic of Iraq to the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Conference and the report of the committees of Awqaf and Religious Affairs and External Relations, Legal and first reading of the bill and the Ministry of Agriculture for the purpose of due process of agricultural importance required and the development of the productive process.”
He continued by saying that “Parliament completed the first reading of the draft law of the Republic of Iraq to join the Protocol against the Illicit Manufacturing of and the law of the Republic of Iraq ratified the UN Convention on the Prohibition of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test.”
The House of Representatives held its 34 th morning, headed by Osama Najafi and the presence of 171 deputies out of 325.
