Barzani stressed that the Kurdistan Region does not accept in any way to be the starting point for any force to launch attacks on neighboring countries, especially Iran, and then return to the territory. Stressing that the region was and will remain a stabilizing factor in the region.

He pointed out that the Kurdistan Region seeks to develop economic relations with Iran and Turkey, stressing that «Iran and Turkey are neighboring countries and we seek to establish the best relations with them».

Regarding the Turkish attacks on Afrin, Nechirvan Barzani said that the region is very concerned about these attacks, calling for the solution of problems through dialogue, and to end operations with minimal losses.

Barzani also noted that he will hold a second meeting with the Iraqi prime minister and oil minister on the sidelines of the Davos World Economic Forum, which opens on Tuesday in Switzerland.

The Prime Minister of the region, Nechirvan Barzani, met with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi in Baghdad on Saturday, ahead of a visit headed by a high-ranking delegation to Tehran, during which he met senior Iranian officials.
