Parliamentary calls for Kazemi to invest his presence in Washington to conclude this deal

Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee called on Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to invest his presence in Washington to conclude a deal to arm the Iraqi security forces, while indicating the possibility of contracting with the international coalition to stay for a long period in order to support Iraq .

Committee member MP Abdul Khaleq Al-Azzawi said, "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, must invest his presence in Washington to conclude security and arming agreements for the Iraqi forces, as well as activate the security cooperation agreement within the strategic dialogue between Baghdad and Washington ."

He added, "Iraq does not have sufficient and advanced weapons to protect its sovereignty, and it can contract with the international coalition to stay for a long time in order to support it in its defense. "

Al-Azzawi pointed out that "with external threats to Iraq, especially from some neighboring countries, it makes the international coalition one of the guarantees to prevent any attack on its lands," calling Al-Kazemi to "activate the strategic framework agreement between the two parties ."

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi arrived at dawn today, Wednesday, to the United States of America on an official visit, accompanied by a delegation that includes several ministers and advisors, and he is supposed to meet with US President Donald Trump tomorrow .
