The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed, on Sunday, that it has sufficient time to approve the general budget law before the year 2021, while the value of the deficit is likely to be 50%.
Committee reporter Ahmed Al-Saffar said, "The draft general budget bill for 2021 has not yet reached the parliament," indicating that the committee is awaiting approval by the cabinet before the end of this month.
He added that "the parliament has sufficient time to approve the budget law before the year 2021," indicating that "according to expectations, the value of the budget deficit will be more than 50% of the volume of operational expenditures."
Al-Saffar indicated that "the price of a barrel of oil in the general budget will be set at $ 40, and it may change with the rise in oil prices in the coming period."
