Confirmed the Finance Committee in the House it will recoup money from Iraq to neighboring countries as well as those smuggled in international banks, through a plan drawn up for this purpose in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.

A member of the Committee Najiba Najib said “the Committee will be hosting during the legislative term next year, Director of Cabinet in the Ministry of Finance in order to identify the necessary information in this regard.”
She explained that “the Finance Committee and staff will confirm the need to recover the money Iraq as rapidly as possible, especially since the political blocs unanimous vote on this law to be the Ministry of Finance a special fund to collect money from the debtor countries of Iraq to him.”

She noted that “the exposure of Iraqi funds abroad at risk because of delays in finding appropriate means to protect it is now needs to be quick solutions, indicating that” the issue of debt is not just financial, but a question of manipulation and taking tight political in the international environment. “

Revealed the Iraqi Foreign Ministry on charging a network of lawyers to take over the task of retrieving funds of the former regime abroad, which takes a long time to complete, especially since some of the funds registered under assumed names.
