The start of an international conference in Turkey to develop the reality of communication in Iraq

Baghdad, October 27 / October (Rn) – was launched Thursday in the Turkish city of Istanbul on the activities of an international conference organized by the Iraqi telecommunications (nee meet) the British to discuss mechanisms for the development and the reality of communications in Iraq.

A member of the Services Committee, the parliamentary Ihsan al-Awadi, who is participating in the conference, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the conference of the International Telecommunication on Iraq was launched today and will last two days in the presence of more than 200 global investment to discuss the mechanisms of development and the reality of communications in Iraq.”

Al Awadi said by telephone from Istanbul, “The conference will address the problems of investment in telecommunications in Iraq and the technical problems faced by companies, mobile operators (mobile phone) and mobile terrestrial addition to the problems facing the Government in the granting of telecommunications projects for global companies.”

Iraq has a limited infrastructure for communications ground, like other service sectors of the country, as a result of long years of neglect due to wars and blockades, and is the main means of mobile communications in the country.

He explained that “the conference hosted by the Organization (nee meet) concerned with the development of British telecom sectors in the world and will come out of a set of recommendations for the development of the reality of communications in Iraq.”
