BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Washington announced the approaching of the Iraq Radarein to complete the sophisticated air defense system is, according to news reported by Al-Hayat newspaper in its edition of Sunday.
Hayat quoted the spokesman for U.S. Army Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan as saying that “the United States will provide Iraq Radarein they can cover the largest part of the country,” noting that “the Iraqi airspace will be supervised by the Iraqis after the withdrawal, and will Alradarein trained with U.S. manufacturers.”
According to The Gazette that “our relationship with the Navy Iraqi military will be long and will continue through the fleet with trained in the Persian Gulf in Bahrain.”
According to the agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington in 2008, the U.S. forces are supposed to withdraw permanently from Iraq by the end of December next.
