Baghdad, January 12 (Rn) – The Kurdistan Alliance, Thursday, for holding an expanded meeting next Sunday in the presence of the three presidencies and representatives of the main blocs in preparation for the National Conference to be held later this month to resolve the current political crisis in the country.
The three presidencies were held last Tuesday after the arrival of Talabani’s Baghdad meeting to discuss the preparations necessary to hold a national conference of political forces.
And calls for the existing guarantees for the success of the Iraqi National Congress, and says she has participated in many conferences to activate the agreements, but did not yield solutions to disputes.
The vice president of the Kurdistan Alliance bloc Mohsen Saadoun, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn), “The three presidencies will be held next Sunday, but a second meeting will be expanded in the presence of representatives of the major political blocs to discuss the preparations necessary to convene the National Congress.”
The Sadoun that “the importance of the meeting to be held next Sunday is to look at the positions of the blocks and its demands and conditions as to whether there are conditions to attend the National Conference,” noting that “the meeting will be the beginning of the urban work of the Committee of the Conference agreed to set up.”
Iraq is still a coalition of state law and battling for power since the last legislative elections, which showed Iraqi victory led by Iyad Allawi, but the latter failed to form a majority coalition being able to lead the government.
The country has a political crisis triggered by the Iraqi judiciary, days after a U.S. withdrawal when they issued an arrest warrant for Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on charges related to leadership involvement in death squads and cooperation with “terrorism.”
In conjunction with the crisis of Hashemi escalating violence in Iraq, which also saw the controversy after he has sought to isolate his deputy, Saleh al-Mutlaq from office.
Commented Allawi’s coalition to participate in hearings before the House of Representatives issued an arrest warrant al-Hashemi, a few days later commented to participate in the Council of Ministers.
Iraq says it is exposed to marginalization, exclusion and accused al-Maliki exclusivity in decision-making.
He has decided to give the Minister a few days before the meetings of the boycotters leave the government open and colleagues assigned the management of ministries and agencies.
