Political sources revealed that former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki plans to return to the post of prime minister, which he held for eight years.
The sources told Asharq al-Awsat that al-Maliki began since he took Haider al-Abadi his duties as prime minister, putting obstacles in front of him to abort his missionuntil he returns to the prime minister, adding that the former prime minister held meetings with the political blocs within the National Alliance to persuade, supported the candidacy within the coalition to return to office in exchange for members of those blocs on ministerial posts.
