Baghdad Mawazine News
A high Kurdish delegation from the region arrived in Baghdad on Monday to discuss the referendum scheduled for September 25.
It is hoped that the Kurdish delegation will meet the three presidencies (the Republic Fuad Masum, the ministers Haider Abadi and the Parliament of Salim al-Jubouri), in addition to the meeting of a number of ambassadors of States.
The delegation consisted of leadersof the second row in the region, deputies and personalities of the minorities in the region and does not enjoy the powers to open the outstanding issues between the two sides, where he met last Saturday (12 August 2017) and agreed to meet with the President of the region Massoud Barzani before traveling to Baghdad and focused on trying to persuade Baghdad to accept The independence referendum, which is a lot difficult for any prime minister or relevant decision-making circles at the moment, which coincides preparations for the elections.
The delegation consists of the following personalities:
1 Nuri Shaways, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), and the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq (who is exempted from the package of reforms announced by Abadi).
2 Saadi Ahmed Bira, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
3 Fouad Hussein, President of the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region.
4 Mohamed Ahmed is a member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Union, who was a member of the House of Representatives in the previous session of his party.
5 MP, Vian Dakhil on the Yazidi component on the list of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
Mullah Majid about the Turkmen component.
7 Romeo Hakari, representative of the Christian component.
It is worth mentioning that the Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, announced last month, that the issue of separation of the Kurds from Iraq and their access to an independent state is not the powers of his government.
