The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), headed by Jalal Talabani, on Friday announced its conditions to support the referendum process, while he said he did not receive the response of the Democratic Party and the other parties to his conditions.

"The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is waiting for the response of Barzani Party and the rest of the parties involved in the referendum on the conditions, and then we decide and officially declare support for the referendum or not," Davoudi said, adding that "30 of the 50 leaders with the support of the referendum on these terms or otherwise there is no support for the referendum, .
A source close to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan revealed last Wednesday, the opposition of most of the leaders and members of the National Union to the decision to hold the referendum, while he confirmed that only four personalities violated the decision of the Union and agreed with the President of the region Massoud Barzani.
It is noteworthy that the President of the region Massoud Barzani and the Kurdish political parties except the Change Movement and the Kurdish Islamic Group have set the September 25 date for the referendum, amid regional rejection and international reservations to the process .
