The Parliament of Kurdistan held more than two years after the break

Baghdad today

The Kurdistan Regional Parliament held its first session on Friday after a break of more than two years.

The parliamentary session was attended by all parties and political blocs of Kurdistan, except the Movement of Change and the Islamic Group, which boycotted the session, because of the lack of complianceby the Democratic Party with the conditions they announced, the most important of which is the postponement of the referendum and the amendment of the law of the presidency of the region.

The parliament is due to approve the holding of the referendum on schedule, and authorize the Electoral Commission to supervise the referendum in the Kurdistan region and disputed areas.

The heads of parliamentary blocs in the parliament of Kurdistan, had held earlier in the day, a session to discuss preparations for the activation of parliament.
