And on the conditions of disbursement of the budget of the region, Saleh explained that "the principle says so delivery of revenues of Kurdistan to the treasury of the state, in return for the share of the region of the federal budget.
The deputy close to the Prime Minister, Ali Alaak, last Friday, the share of the budget of the Kurdistan region, within the draft federal budget for the country's general for the year 2018.
Al-Alak said in an interview with Baghdad today that "the share of the region was 17%, which is a hypothetical and not realistic, against which there is a process of offsetting the excess of this quota and return to the treasury of the state, but this step was not committed to the region."
He added, "Based on that, the government will deal with the budget of Kurdistan, as a realistic share set for the rest of the Iraqi provinces."
He pointed out that "there is an approximate population statistics exist with the government, so will be treated as a new proportion within the framework of the real population and not the default, such as Basra, Nasiriyah and Maysan, and may reach less than 13%."
The House of Representatives has voted on the budget law for the year 2017, keeping the proportion of Kurdistan in the budget as it is, the 17%, and while facing a strong opposition from some parties in Baghdad, the Kurdish parties insist that the ratio is a constitutional right of the region, Can be manipulated.
