URGENT Iraq sees complete Internet access in line with demonstrations

(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Iraq has seen since the dawn of the first day of Saturday a complete cut to serve the Internet without knowing the reasons.
This coincides with the increase in demonstrations and popular protests against poor services and unemployment, which began since last Sunday in the province of Basra and expanded yesterdayin other southern provinces.
These demonstrations broke out acts of sabotage of some public property and state institutions and storming some of the buildings of provincial councils.
The Najaf International Airport, on Friday night, acts of sabotage and damage after being stormed by demonstrators, and the airport administration blamed the security services for not doing their duty to protect the airport as required.
The Ministerial Council for National Security held an emergency meeting chaired by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi late last night to discuss the security situation in the country.
Abadi visited Basra province yesterday and promised speedy measures to solve the problems of the province and stressed the need to adhere to the peaceful demonstration in the demand for rights as recommended by the supreme religious authority in Friday sermon.
Activists believe that the Internet cut by the Ministry of Communications is deliberate to prevent the demonstrators from continuing to publish videos and pictures of their protests in social networking sites and an attempt by the government to contain the crisis.
It is worth noting that the Internet is also coinciding with the final exams for the sixth grade / first round - currently underway - while the Ministry of Communications said earlier that the pieces during the examination period will not exceed more than 8 am, but this date exceeded two hours today.
There was no explanation from the Ministry of Communications about the reason for these pieces
