Inflation is rising in Iraq

(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Ministry of Planning announced on Monday that the rate of inflation during the month of June by 0.6%, compared to the month of May before.
The ministry spokesman Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, "The annual inflation rate increasedby 1.7% compared to June of last year 2017, and the monthly inflation rate in June last by 0.6% compared to the previous month, indicating that the rise was affected by the rise of the housing section by 2.4% and the height of clothing and shoes by 0.3%.
"The rise in annual inflation was due to the rise of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.9 percent, the clothing and footwear sector by 1.3 percent, the transport section by 6.8 percent and the education sector by 3.2 percent," Hindawi said.
He added that "the process of collecting prices for the month of June did not include the province of Nineveh due to the conditions of the province."
