A former parliamentarian reveals - more than 80 candidates in the election accused of corruption

BAGHDAD / The former deputy of the province of Dhi Qar Mohammed al-Lakash, Thursday, that more than 80 candidates in the recent parliamentary elections accused of corruption, while calling on the Federal Court not to ratify the results.

"The federal government, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Public Prosecution, the Integrity Commission and the Financial Control Bureau should expediteand work to remove the winning candidates accused of corruption, crimes, denigration, de-Baathification, falsification of testimony and non-ratification of their names," Al-Wakash said in a statement received by Iraq News.

"The sources indicate that more than 80 candidates are still in their cases between the government, the Judicial Council, the Integrity Commission and the Financial Control Bureau, and some of them have issued arrest warrants against them but have not been implemented."

"If all the names are confirmed and the oath is rejected, these spoilers will have parliamentary immunity of four years to get them to go unpunished," he said. Finished
