Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi responded to calls for the resignation of his government Tuesday, pointing to the existence of those who pay the price to aggravate the relationship between the three authorities in the country.
"The government is carrying out its responsibilities to the fullestextent, until the secretariat is handed over to the new government," Abadi said during his weekly conference at the government palace in downtown Baghdad.
He added that "calls for resignation is political and not based on any constitutional justification."
