BAGHDAD / The former MP in the parliament, Nasr al-Jubouri, said Tuesday that the large bloc that the political parties are seeking to achieve will not be realized, indicating that time will prove that and the parties will return to consensus and common interests in the exchange and distribution of positions.
"Political parties have been trying to make the big bloc for months, but in reality they do not want to, and even the parties that threatenthe opposition will not oppose, because they want to gain electoral gains and gains," Jubouri told Iraq News.
She added that "the parties are still not aware of the importance of political opposition, and at the same time want to share governance," noting that "the next government will be tougher on politicians because of international outrage over the deterioration of services and popular agitation on the mismanagement of Iraqi politicians."
It is noteworthy that the Speaker of Parliament Mohammed Rikan Halbusi, has identified, on Tuesday, the second day of October next, a deadline for the election of the President of the Republic, after the inability of the Kurdish blocs to get out of the political dispute over candidates for the post, and thus the Parliament has exhausted the constitutional deadline To select the president fully.
