BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The US House of Representatives has passed a bill requiring the US administration to impose sanctions on terrorist organizations and countries that threaten Iraq's security and stability, led by Iran.
According to the text of the draft, the US presidentshould identify individuals and groups in Iraq that should be included in the list of terrorist organizations and impose sanctions on them, and submit a report to Congress detailing these groups.
The sanctions range from freezing funds and resources to not granting visas to the United States and canceling any previous visas.
The Senate must pass a copy of the bill before it is sent to the White House
