"The waste of money in Iraq on electricity because of mismanagement and corruption could have produced 70 thousand megawatts, which is equivalent to the production of Iran and Saudi Arabia," said Minister of Electricity Luay al-Khatib.
Khatib said in a press statement that "the problem of electricityin Iraq is the production, distribution and transport, and there are political interventions in the work of the ministry and quotas and must be prevented."
He pointed out that "more than 4 million random consumers of electric power and classified within the overrun on the network," revealing "urgent plans and fast to provide electricity for the next summer, which includes every province."
