Al-Kazemi decides the Ministries of Defense and Interior and a trade-off between finance and foreign affairs between the Shiites and the Kurds

Al-Fateh parliamentary bloc revealed, on Monday, political negotiations to replace the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance between the Shiite component and the Kurdish, while stressing the resolution of candidates for the ministries of the Interior and Defense.
"The political forces have agreed to resolve the candidatesfor the Ministries of Interior and Defense, with the Interior Ministry taking over the team, the first corner of Othman Al-Ghanimi, and for the defense to be at the corner of Juma Anad," said the deputy from Al-Fath Fadel Al-Fatlawi in a press statement.

He added that "there are negotiations and political talk to resolve the ministerial cabinet and replace the ministries of foreign affairs and finance between the Shiite and Kurdish components, provided that the Ministry of Finance for the Shiites in return for the Kurds to receive the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

Al-Fatlawi added that "political dialogues and negotiations regarding some candidates for ministerial portfolios are still ongoing and not resolved yet," stressing that "the last negotiations within 24 hours will resolve the ministerial cabinet and pass it in the parliament."

For his part, Deputy Muhammad Al-Baldawi said, "The Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi, until the moment, did not cut off dialogue and negotiation with the political forces, which announced their opposition to his government, and will not vote in favor of them (the State of Law Coalition and the National Coalition), but rather make open lines with these forces." ".

And Al-Baldawi said, "The Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi works in a way (the easy plain), as he deals with political forces, on the principle that does not give them everything they want and does not cut off dialogue and negotiation with them."

Yesterday, Sunday, the National Coalition led by Iyad Allawi announced the non-voting of Mustafa Al-Kazemi’s government, as a special session is scheduled to be held this week.

The State of Law coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki - 26 seats - also declared no vote for the Al-Kazemi government.

The National Alliance bloc has 21 seats officially, before it was exposed to splits, and its members joined other blocs.

For the government to obtain the confidence of Parliament, an absolute majority (50% + 1) vote is required for the number of members present (not the total number) to grant confidence, but its chances in light of the escalating opposition seem difficult.
