White House spokesman - Trump encouraged Al-Kazimi to implement reform and early elections

The White House spokesman, Jad Dair, confirmed that US President Donald Trump encouraged the new Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to implement reform and early elections.

"Trump spoke with Al-Kazemi to congratulate him on the ratification by the Iraqi parliament of his government," Der said in a statement.

The statement added, "President Trump expressed the support of the United States for Iraq during the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic, and affirmed the mutual interest with Iraq to permanently defeat ISIS."

For his part, President Trump stressed that "Iraq is a strong and important country that has a central role in the region and in achieving regional and international stability . "

Trump stressed the "desire of the United States of America to strengthen relations between the two countries, and his country's willingness to provide the necessary economic assistance to support the Iraqi economy . "

The two sides agreed, according to the statement, to "expand cooperation in the fight against the Corona pandemic, as well as to develop economic investment efforts to serve the interests of both countries . "
