{Baghdad: Where News} The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed, on Thursday, the fate of the general budget for 2020, as well as the nature of next year's budget.
The committee’s reporter, Ahmad al-Hajj, told Al-Furat News that “the Ministry of Planning has informed us that it will prepare a budgetfor the remaining four months of the current year,” indicating that “the Ministry of Finance is now working on preparing the budget for the remainder of the year 2020.”
He added that "the next budget must be austerity, and this matter is a foregone conclusion, and that the Finance Committee participates in the budget strategy, and the final picture of the features of the budget has not been determined."
He pointed out, "The need for multiple revenues in the next budget and attention to issues of taxes and customs tariffs."
