(Baghdad: Where News) The Presidency of the House of Representatives agreed, on Saturday, to direct a parliamentary question to the Ministers of Finance and Planning about the reform program.
The media department of the council stated, in a press statement, that "the presidency agreed to MP Muhammad Sahib Al-Darraji's request to address an oral question to the Ministers of Finance and Planning."
The department added, "The question comes to answer the reasons for the failure to reach the reform paper stipulated in the recent lending law, and it will be answered in a session on Tuesday or Thursday."
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Council of Representatives held, today, Saturday, the first session of its new legislative chapter, headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi and attended by 169 deputies.
The session’s agenda includes the completion of the House of Representatives election law, the first reading of the draft law amending the Federal Supreme Court’s law, the draft ministers ’and ministries’ law, in addition to the proposed Personal Status Law No. 188 of 1959 amendment law, and proposals for other laws and general issues will also be presented and discussed.
