The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, called today, Saturday, the parliament to discuss and approve important draft laws.
In an interview reported by the Presidency’s Media Office, the President of the Republic said, "The current stage faces manychallenges and requires moving forward towards approving important draft laws, most notably the completion of the election law legislation to ensure its integrity and restore confidence in the electoral process."
The president stressed "the importance of the legislative institution's role in meeting citizens' living, security and health requirements, and ways to limit the epidemic and economic repercussions of the Corona pandemic in the country."
