Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi discussed, on Sunday, with the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, several files, including the return of displaced persons and the holding of elections.
A statement by Al-Kazemi's office said, "The latter received Blashart, and during the meeting they discussed ways to hold earlyelections in Iraq next June, and to ensure international monitoring of them, to ensure transparent, fair and fair elections that fulfill the aspirations of the Iraqi people."
The statement added, "The issue of the displaced and the governmental and international efforts made to resolve this file were also discussed in a manner that guarantees the speedy return of all displaced persons, ends their suffering and preserves their dignity."
