The Kurdistan Regional Government confirmed, today, Wednesday, that a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government will visit Baghdad soon to discuss the outstanding problems, while indicating that the Kurdistan Regional Government will borrow 355 million dollarsto meet the deficit.
"The Kurdistan Regional Government is determined to pay employee dues," said Kurdistan Regional Government spokesman Jotyar Adel, in a press conference, pointing out that "the Kurdistan Regional Government will borrow $ 355 million to meet the deficit until the sums arrive from Baghdad."
He added, "The territorial government has been able to provide 400 million dollars from imports for the distribution of salaries," noting that "the regional government will do everything it has to get the region's dues and employees in particular."
He pointed out that "the regional government delegation will visit Baghdad soon," indicating that "all delegations that were sent to Baghdad were headed by Qubad Talabani, Vice President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and negotiations were good and our negotiations with Baghdad are continuing."
He continued, "The region asked the center for a share of 17% of the budget, but this will be through dialogue," noting that "the problem with Baghdad is not just a matter of salaries," noting that "the central government promised to solve the issue of regional employees' salaries."
