A security source revealed, on Tuesday, the reasons for the American warplanes flying overnight over the city of Erbil and a number of regions of the region.
The source said. "The flight came to conduct a reconnaissance tour that includes Erbil and its surrounding areas and the border strip with Syria."
He added that "the American forces have a desire to transfer a group of their forces in Syria to the Al-Harir base in Erbil, as well as want to secure the areas surrounding the city. They also conducted a photo tour to a number of regions in the Kurdistan region."
The Erbil Airport administration issued a statement confirming that the aviation of the international coalition in the sky of Erbil yesterday, was for a maneuver that is within the powers of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority.
