State of Law bloc and the United States ignoring the implementation of the NCSP

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: An al-Iraqiya Bloc MP accused the State of Law Bloc and the Americans of ignoring the role of the Strategic Policies Council, stressing that the Bloc will press for the implementation of other political agreements.

MP Wihdaq al-Jumaily told Aswat al-Iraq that al-Iraqiya Bloc is adament about the implementation of power division and will not accept the Strategic Policies Council alone.

She added that the bloc will press for judicial, administrative, and political reform, in addition to the statute of the Cabinet.

Jumaily confirmed that Allawi should preside over the Council.

Al-Iraqiya Bloc’s leader Iyad Allawi announced last Thursday his rejection of presiding over the Council due to “the absence of national partnership” and ” unilateral power control.”

Kurdish President Masoud Barzani made an initiative to solve the dilemma of the present government in September 2010, after which the Iraqi government was formed.
