Erbil, June 4 (Rn) - The official Election Commission province of Kurdistan, said on Monday that the provincial government agreed to postpone the elections provinces of the region until further notice. Ali is able to Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) that "after meeting the President of the Electoral Commission for elections in Iraq Today, with the Vice President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Imad Ahmed, approved the proposal of the Election Commission to postpone elections provinces of the region, which wasscheduled on 27 September next. " and added, "it was postponed until further notice, after approval of the request the Commission postponed from two to three. " He pointed out that "paragraph 5 of Article 32 of the election law provinces of the region, suffers from a problem, because under paragraph should voters Christians to vote for Christian candidates and prepare their own list, but can not prevent the voter from vote for a particular party. " He explained, "For these reasons, we have to restore law to the Parliament of Kurdistan and modify it, and this needs time." For his part, the head of the Electoral Commission, Faraj al-Haidari, (Rn) that "it is due to announce the Parliament and the Government of the region, this evening, the news of postponement of the elections official.
