Arab Banking Conference in Beirut next month

Attend the Union of Arab Banks mechanisms and the preparations for the inaugural Annual Arab Banking Conference for 2011 in the Lebanese capital Beirut on 24 and November 25 next, under the title «the future of the Arab world in light of changes of the current«.

The number of participants more than 500 Arab banking and international, in addition to ministers and the rulers of Arab banks and leaders of international institutions, led by Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, who will look after and opened the conference, the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Dr. Nabil el-Arabi.

The Union said in a statement yesterday that the conference will see the political participation – banking Libyan banner as it will be allocated on «Libby« within the conference aimed to support the Libyan people, and to support investment in Libya, will also see the conference post Iraqi bank a distinct addition to the active participation of the Egyptian banking sector and the banking sector of Tunisia, where it will be to provide the Egyptian paper and paper Tunisian displays through which the experiences of the banking sector in both countries in light of the change in the Arab world and their experiences after the crisis.

The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Banks and Sam Hassan Fattouh that due to the acceleration of international events and regional developments and keep up with them, the Union conducted an amendment to the themes raised during the conference to take action-oriented international, regional and kept pace with these developments, as the work of Union to expand the activities of its conference to determine a future vision for the Arab world in the light of Arab experiences, especially in Libya, where the Conference devoted a special day of its activities in support of the Libyan people and stand beside him and studied investment opportunities, as well as Tunisia and Egypt, which explains the reason for changing the title of the conference which we announced earlier.

He added that the conference this year is characterized by the participation largest Arab economy – an international, confirming participation of Arab and international organizations in organizing this event, including the League of Arab States, World Bank World Bank , the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development OECD , Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN), the Federation of Chambers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the General Council of banks and Islamic financial institutions, the Council of Arab Economic Unity.
