Sources close to the presidency that President Talabani is a plan on the “disputed areas” with the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Sources confirmed that the Kurdish Jalal Talabani formulate a proposal for those areas along the “border management” of the pre-1968, the year in which it took control of the dissolved Baath party to power in Iraq. The proposal includes a repeal of all “Saddam decrees” on the administrative boundaries of cities, villages and towns.
The Kurdistan Alliance MP Mahmoud Othman, information obtained by the Agency (UR), said that President Jalal Talabani will send a “project, which determines the disputed areas” as described, to the parliament soon.
Othman said that the Presidency of the Republic of the process of creating this project before sending it to parliament, because the Constitution gives the presidency to send the right projects to the House directly. He added that this project, which engages the now President Jalal Talabani was supposed to prepare years ago, pointing out that the administrative boundaries may have changed since 1968 for political reasons, demographic, and this enters into the work of the Presidency and its powers.
