Maliki and British minister discuss the future of Iraq and the region in the next phase
Baghdad (news) .. Search Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the British and the Middle East Alistair Burt political and economic developments between Iraq and the United Kingdom.

A source in the Prime Minister (for the Agency news) today: that al-Maliki met with the British minister at his office Wednesday morning, and discussed with him a number of issues that concern the two countries.

The source added: that the two sides also discussed the situation in Iraq and its future, in particular in the next phase and the region, especially after the Arab spring that seen in most countries.

He pointed out: that al-Maliki assured the British Minister that Iraq will witness a stable security in the coming period, as well as investments and solve most economic problems, and continued: Maliki also discussed the Iraqi-British relations and how to develop, called on British companies to invest heavily in Iraq.

The source said: that the British minister for his part, welcomed the development happening in Iraq, criticized the red tape and bureaucracy in Alastmar, assuring the owners of the need to reduce administrative red tape in the Iraqi institutions with investors, to witness Iraq, revolution in the investment, the Minister promised that the British play for a bigger role in the process of attracting investment for Iraq. / more details will be issued in a statement from Maliki’s office later.
