Minister of Electricity and Amb. Jeffrey discuss U.S. companies entering to work in Iraq

Baghdad (news) .. Search and Electricity Minister Karim Aftan with U.S. Ambassador James Jeffrey, ways of cooperation in projects of the electricity sector and the entry of U.S. companies to work in Iraq.
According to a statement of the Ministry of Electricity has received the Agency (news) a copy of it on Wednesday: that Aftan praised the corporate U.S. manufacturer of power plants, electric, in particular the General Electric Company, which promised the best interface to the U.S. as well as praising the banks the U.S., calling on them to finance projects of the electricity sector.
He pointed out: the need to move from the open circuit at the stations steam into the closed loop with the help of U.S. companies sober, the fact that this process will raise the productive capacity of these stations.
The American Ambassador: The U.S. companies are willing to work on projects and the Ministry of Electricity to all forms of cooperation, whether direct payment or on credit, explained that the issue of payment on credit need to assign and support the Iraqi government, to provide adequate safeguards to reassure companies their dues within Iraq.
and the minister said, in response to the intervention of the U.S. ambassador on a number of studies that provided by a number of U.S. companies to the ministry: the importance of the implementation of studies in the field and utilize them to be useless, “and expressed his thanks to all who provided such studies to the Ministry of electricity in order to develop their work.
The minister said that he made a covenant at the same rate of advancement of electric power system in the country, expressing optimism about the future of the electricity sector in Iraq.
