5-8-2013 *Adam Montana ~There isn't anything we can really put our fingers on at this time... things are pretty steady with no real huge breakthroughs... but the buzz is definitely getting strong. There is a TON of rumors right now about July, and although I don't like to put too much stock in rumors... in the past we have seen significant moves shortly after this kind of situation. Iraq is still going in the right direction, so I'm just going to keep hanging on.

5-8-2013 *Adam Montana ~[according to news articles out today it seems Iraq will be opening 130 offices this week to facilitate the distribution of the 2nd generation smart cards that will adhere to international standards. I understand that if people are able the use these cards, it could ease the transition of the exchange rate without having lower denoms on the street prior. What are your thoughts concerning what appears to be Iraq pumping these cards to the people quickly? These cards in addition to the news of headway on HCL, WTO, and Chpt 7, is this a precursor to possibly a July timetable for a rate change/ or internationally recognized currency?] I can't help but agree with you - this kind of activity with the cards and also everything else going on is definitely looking good for us! Regarding the timetable, there's no way to know for sure... but again, it's looking very promising.

5-9-2013 *Adam Montana ~[If the dinar RVs at 1$ to 1D, why would their be a time limit to exchange the dinar?] As far as we know, when they change the rate or remove the 0's, they will also be replacing the currency with "New" Iraqi Dinar bills. When they do that, the goal will be to phase out the "Old" (current) currency. Most likely, they will do this over a 3-6 month period, as most countries do when they introduce new currency. I don't think we have to be concerned about it being "illegal" to have the old currency, but if we don't cash in before they stop accepting it, all of our bills will be just like the old Saddam notes... worthless.
