10-15-2014 *Adam Montana ~(WARNING: I'm about to rant on ISIS. Doom and Gloom ahead!) ISIS not defeated, but not making much headway in Iraq. Weeks ago people were screaming and hollering about ISIS being 20 miles from Baghdad... Baghdad still hasn't fallen, so draw your own conclusions there…ISIS is manageable, and I'm confident that they will be dealt with eventually... but unfortunately it's going to get worse before it gets better…Here comes the bad news. what we need is a REAL LEADER to stand up and say "We need to defeat these bad guys, so who is with us?!" - and we don't have that leader. So unless another country steps up to the plate (which never seems to happen), or something insanely dramatic happens to FORCE the world to act, we're looking at another 2 years of "the same"…Eventually major action will be taken, ISIS will be handled, and in the meantime Iraq is still making headway... so all is not lost.

10-16-2014 *Adam Montana ~Ministers of Interior and Defense still not seated..this one surprised me. Abadi and the entire GOI seemed to be on a massive fast-track right up until about 2 weeks ago, an now we're seeing them stall on these two appointments. Fortunately, it's a simple process - they vote for candidates and Abadi chooses. I don't foresee this taking too much longer, as things continue to move reasonably smooth in Iraq, despite what this one situation would lead you to believe. GOI could be moving a little faster, but things are getting done at a faster pace than anytime in the last 8 years.
