11-26-2014 *Adam Montana ~ The longer you've been holding dinar, the more likely you are to really "get" the fact that we don't know what the future holds. You understand that dates are pretty much meaningless to the Iraqi Dinar, and you understand that we just have no way of knowing exactly when ANYTHING might happen. Chapter 7 took a long time, but when it finally hit - it hit FAST. We saw a heated battle between Ayad Allawi and Maliki on more than one occasion. We saw Allawi threaten to sue, claiming corruption was the reason for his loss in that political battle...but nothing happened, and Maliki retained the seat, and Iraq went nowhere. The GOI was stagnant, moving nowhere under Nouri al Maliki. Finally, just recently, Maliki was tossed (kicking and screaming) from his long standing place of power, and replaced with a new PM - Dr. Haider Al-Abadi. Since September we've seen a flurry of action out of Iraq - Parliament has met and actually done things ahead of schedule in some cases, which was completely unheard of for the last 10 or more years! We're seeing some incredible progress on the HCL - more positive news on that is coming out of Iraq than EVER before. It's coming, and soon! Once the HCL is complete, there is pretty much NOTHING left to hold Iraq back. The HCL is the key to letting Iraq take that final step towards being a fully functioning, well "oiled" machine. When the HCL is in place, with Abadi actually bridging the gap between the Sunnis and the Shiites, the CBI will have no reason left to delay raising the value on the Iraqi Dinar... and that, my friends, is when we all say "CHA-CHING"!
