6-9-2013 *Jester ~i think we are experiencing the calm before the storm...we are aware of the few things need to get done in the process... no matter what anyone says that is where the work is done... they have to be in the right place and the right order to get their part finished to complete the process...the timing is part of the scenario...not much left to do...we are watching the things being done and are aware of what is left...when they get ready to do them it will not take much time.6-10-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Today [Sunday] there were some very high hopes with the meetings that were going on. They were not meetings to determine an RV & they were not super secret power sharing meetings. What this was, the Government of Iraq sometimes has Council of Minister meetings. This was prearranged some time ago to have the meeting in Erbil. Maliki had one private meeting with Barzani. Ultimately there were high hopes for this meeting and it did not disappoint. You can take great hope that things are moving along very quickly. The real story to me is that Maliki did this, played ball with everyone and he did this because he had to. The walls are closing in. He has opposition coming at him from every direction, pressure from everywhere and he needs some good things to happen. The reason they need some currency things to happen is because Maliki has had some hand in how the CBI is run recently and it's not going very well. They are having a real problem propping up the value of the dinar. You will probably see some kind of drastic measure real soon.I have heard a couple of different numbers in the early/middle part of June, anytime this month, a couple of realistic scenarios they have drawn up. I suspect they will get something done. Don't know the exact timing but Bagdad is on point to get something done. These meetings went so well not because everyone sees eye to eye, but because Maliki has to make this happen. He has some very serious political challenges coming up. The news over the past 24 hours has been spectacular, it points to all good things.

6-10-2013 *TD ~According to my GOI contact: The meetings going on with Iraqi leaders is to INSURE everyone (especially the IMF) that there is no back peddling on ALREADY AGREED deals. It's really for show! 6-10-2013 *Jester ~the security is high right now... still looking for certain events to happen... scheduled and rescheduled now... let hope it goes off this time...they are working on it 24/7... timing is important... i know it seems as if another weekend has come and gone...but i can assure you that plenty has been done... that makes us that much closer to our goal... rest assured that the processing is moving along at a feverish pace and they are trying to get this thing completed... everything IS positive.

6-10-2013 *OCrush ~This meeting that took place with Maliki, Barzani, Nujaifi, Zebari and many more set the ball in motion. It took a while for the commissioned individuals to get the legislation of the 7 points completed. This Erbil meeting that took place was the stamp of approval of this legislation and the go ahead. Now here comes the fun part. A few days ago Zebari (Iraq's Foreign Minister similar to our Kerry) attended a ceremonial meeting with the Emir, PM and many high profile Kuwaiti Shieks and delegates to sign MOU'$. Look at these Mou's as Trust Funds, monies to be transferred into for the remainder of the payments to the Kuwaitis (about 11 billion). Another privilage that the Kuwaitis will have are investment contracts...to keep the brotherly love;) The removal of Chapter vii is next but they need to do it in a celebratorial way (we do have questions on that....think chicken or the egg) but at this point we are setting our eyes to the RV. The M of Education is in charge of this celebration (not the one that gave honorary recognition) and it will take place at the University of Baghdad.

6-10-2013 *SWFloridaGuy ~We regret to inform the community that SWFloridaGuy passed away in his sleep last night. SWFloridaGuy brought a great voice and perspective to this investment and he helped a lot of people by shedding a light on a complex subject. This is a great loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. He will be missed.
