5-3-2014 *MarkZ ~The IMF, US, BRIC heck everyone is scrambling because Iraq forced the issue when they moved forward with the RI. [Do you think just the RI rate from Iraq about $3.22 will be released or a full RV/GCR with all the countries?] I think we will see a blending of it. I am THINKING RI for a few days...and then an RV to establish a proper long term value. My opinion only though... [If only an RI of the dinar- sure leaves a lot of VND holders in limbo?] They will go at the same time, no worries. IMO. Most of my other contacts have gone silent which is to be expected here at what appears to be the final hours.

5-3-2014 *BGG ~Article: "al-Maliki in Tehran to discuss the developments in the political process and the third term Sat May 03 2014" If Maliki is in Iran already - he knows what the problem is. It sounds like - if they send him packing we could see some resolution to the political scene quickly...I have heard some very astute political "think tanks" here in the US...They don't think he will last much longer.

If it gets past Tuesday we will not see another window for 30 days. Continue to check the cbi website for the rate change. 5-4-2014 *Aggiedad77 ~Article: "Specialists: accelerating the adoption of the general budget rises infrastructure" One has to wonder about Iraq attempting to accelerate anything much less the budget process...all they are lacking is the second reading and a vote...but can they get this done...will there really be a Parliament session tomorrow and if so will the budget be on the agenda...all the delays of the past four months and heading into the fifth month now are causing economic havoc for the country and its citizens and businesses as well as the many contractors that are working in the country...some politicians may be waking up soon and realize they are out of a job...makes me wonder how many will show up for a Parliament session tomorrow [Sunday].

[might we be seeing updated rates on the CBI and or Forex on Sunday?] If things go very smoothly you could see them. [you claim this "RI" happened (a week ago today), but NOTHING!] I am being told by people I trust in Iraq that Maliki did pull that trigger...time will tell us soon. [Know of any IMF/BIS rule regarding how long a RI can be accomplished before it is revealed?] I was told 10 days. [10 days from the 26th puts us about Monday the 5th.] [when do you think the announcement will come?] I am afraid to say but I think early this week. [are the contract rates limited only to those participating in private placements, or will the public have an opportunity as well?] I am told the general public will be offered something better than the street rate.

This is to discuss the formed budget...we have multiple points coming out but --- budget is going and agreement is made. Tomorrow parliament is having an emergency meeting that is to put the budget through...they are meeting first thing in morn. [With budget being passed. CBI beginning to move money. Do you think they will move with the new rate and with the Global stock exchange happening on the 15th of this month don't they have to have a reality rate to present the ISX TO the conference?] they have to have a reality rate to release the isx -- no doubt about that ---- the issue of what the value is and how and when they will proceed we do not have in ink.
