5-19-2014 *Aggiedad77 ~Article: "Specialists expect Iraq to renew the request from Washington to protect Iraqi funds abroad" There has been much available to read about "alleged" actions of the Iraqi's in preparation of the May 22 date when their funds will no longer be protected by the US. Most of what has been read wants us to believe that the Iraqi's will take care of their own funds after the 22nd. Well now we hear from a member of the Finance Committee that is making noise that today Iraq will seek to have the US extend that protection. Talk about waiting to the last minute...but then again this is Iraq. The final decision will lie in the hands of the Finance Ministry and the COM.

5-19-2014 *BGG ~The "LARGEST BLOC" (formed post election) has the right to form the next government AND name the next PM...there is no guarantee this will be Maliki. There will be a lot of up and down in the news today - relax and let it play out. Maliki got a lot more seats than was being reported - there will be inquiries. However, if the opposition against him is as reported he will still have a very tough time...90 seats or no 90 seats.

5-19-2014 *TNT Tony ~People have been trying to get them not to do the RI. The problem with the RI is everything would have to be completely redone. Everybody was upset yesterday, they made modifications over the weekend and supposedly all is agreeable and ready to go. Now hearing they went back on the air and are now saying the RV is going to happen. [Will the contract rates still be available?] Potentially still available, yes. [Do you have confirmation of the rates live in Kurdistan (reference Guru EXOGEN's post 5-18-14)?] Yes, I have it from Kurdistan from the highest levels of government, and we have the entire payout scale. They are happy and bragging they did it before Baghdad. We know of 7 countries saying it is live on their screens now, but not pushed to teller's screens. There no reason for it not to be tonight or tomorrow until they create another reason...we are in great position.

5-19-2014 *Millionday ~Article quote: "The results from the election commission showed Maliki's State of Law alliance garnered 92 out of 328 parliamentary seats, with the incumbent himself winning more than 721,000 personal votes." according to this Maliki got 92 out of 328 but did not win over majority... the election results are done...that news in itself is very important because -- after the results are in, the emergency meeting of the budget begins as we were told, so we would hope that is so and will happen.

5-19-2014 *Bluwolf ~So we are back to a possible rv using a long weekend coming in order to load up the banks again. Southwest on high alerts again. I have read some stories pertaining to delays of weeks and even years...this delay topic just isn't true. Sections or countries elsewhere are getting on with there exchange movements and this issue alone is forcing pressure on the person in charge here in the U.S. to set date on this Global Currency Reset. All 204 countries will come into actions soon. Iraq will officially announce the real results of there elections in the gazette, once all this transpires it shall be freed from the American gasp and it will rule like a free and renew nation. With this I will say to all our revaluation is here, look for it from this point to three weeks time for it shouldn't go pass that time frame.

5-20-2014 *Poppy3 ~Letter to the Congress -- Continuation of the National Emergency with Respect to the Stabilization of Iraq: "...the national emergency with respect to the stabilization of Iraq that was declared in Executive Order 13303 of May 22, 2003, is to continue in effect beyond May 22, 2014." ...I TOLD YOU BEGINNING TWO WEEKS AGO IF THEY DIDN'T RELEASE THE RV PRIOR TO THAT DEADLINE OF THE 22ND THEN ALL THESE OTHER COUNTRIES THEY OWE WAR RETRIBUTION WILL SUE AND TAKE ALL THAT MONEY. ALL THESE COUNTRIES ARE STILL DEMANDING THE RV SO THEY CAN EXCHANGE THE AMOUNTS THEY TOOK AFTER FORGIVING AS MUCH AS 60% OF WHAT THEY WHERE OWED AND TOOK DINAR IN PLACE . IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME NOW TO SEE WHAT EFFECT THIS WILL HAVE GOOD OR BAD. THERE WAS A PAYMENT TO THE MEMBERS OF THE PARIS GROUP BUT NONE OF THE OTHER COUNTRIES THEY OWE RECEIVED ZERO AND THAT'S WHY THE MET A FEW WEEKS AGO FOR A WHOLE WEEK AND DEMANDED THEY BE PAID IMMEDIATELY NOT LATER. I DO KNOW THAT VN WAS NOT REPORTED AS MEMBERS OF THE PARIS GROUP AND THEY ARE OWED MUCH AND DID TAKE LOTS OF DINAR AND THEY FORGAVE $$$$$ IN THAT EXCHANGE.

5-20-2014 *Tlar ~This is a parliamentary system. Maliki most likely will not even be the nominee select from the SOL...even if the SOL were...which they themselves have said they will not do, he would not win the vote...nominating rules for the NA were recently changed and backroom deals have been made...it makes no matter who the SOL nominates as PM, that decision I am absolutely positive has already been made. Hakim will also get to nominate a PM as will Sadr. These nominees will then face a secret ballot in which only the heads of the blocks will vote on. The coalition passed the test when Iran backed off. They are sticking together and as long as they do, it will go down as expected following a plan that began at least 6 months prior to this election, which included the halting of the budget to make sure Maliki was a looser.

5-20-2014 *Jester ~[DFI funds, big deal or not?] PROBABLY NOT...IT WAS PREVIOUSLY SET UP FOR A SPECIFIC REASON... DOES NOT HAVE MUCH TO DO WITH ANY RV IN MY OPINION.

5-20-2014 *Stryker ~Article: "Obama extends the state of national emergency, which related to Iraq for another year" ...Obama extended EO 13303 for another year and a lot of people are taking a very negative outlook on this when they should not be... Iraq needed this protection, we need this protection and more importantly the Governor of the CBI and the watchdog over Iraq's Monetary Policy needed this protection extended. EO 13303 is different than most EO's and that it has a time frame attached and can be lifted when the timing is right. Chin up folks...it is not the time to be jumping ship IMO. We are closer than we have ever been in seeing economic reform take place in Iraq. Political and Economic Security and we are off to the races, so to speak.
