6-18-2014 *TNT Tony ~All good news but no action (yet).

6-18-2014 *Aggiedad77 ~Article: "Iraqi dinar regain "a bit of stability," a week after wobbling because of security threats" CBI claims they have sufficient reserves to address the current crisis and maintain the exchange rate...basically business as usual for them...there were increased demands for the dollar last week amidst the security crisis as it unfolded but this week has seen more stability.

6-18-2014 *TNT Tony & DC [via Adept1] ~Maliki basically told everybody he would do it just before the government had it’s last power. At the last minute, the US came in with security problems and saying it was not great for us right now. In essence, they worked out a deal. Bottom line, M got what he wanted, and President Obama got what he wanted...It was a good deal for both Maliki and President Obama. They seated the government yesterday...They announced the seating of the government and...Chalabi said he would be the next Prime Minister. Meanwhile, the CBI said, we are tired of all this, we don’t like the agreement, and we are doing it now that the government has been seated. They notified the BIS , and the BIS notified all the other central banks. That was yesterday. The US said, “Wait, hold on!” So the US stopped it again for various reasons. But the CBI said they calmed everyone down, and it’s our country and we’re doing this. That fight went back and forth several times last night. CBI is still geared up to get this thing out. Now Maliki is no longer the PM although he is acting like it. M said, “If I can get this RV done here, today, what about making me PM again?” A lot of the folks came back and said, “If you get it done, sure. Good luck.” He got smacked down last night, so how could Maliki get this accomplished? Then he came on the news and announced (with the CBI) that we are doing this based on prior agreements. We are going to the RV on Friday, with a specific rate and time...they have done all the agreements and have announced it will be on Friday. He has announced it throughout the entire world and throughout Iraq. The US mainly wants a stable Iraq, so instead of power-sharing, they are trying to get other positions filled by others than Maliki, to form a more inclusive government. In essence, Maliki has thrown down the gauntlet to everyone. Everything looks phenomenally good. Even Chalabi is happy with the position he’s been offered. Maliki has said THIS is the date and THIS is the rate, and that has never happened before. We have to wait and see.

6-19-2014 *wmawhite ~one friend of mine has been sending me numerous alerts about currencies from around the world that are adjusting up and down all in reference to Iraq...he is of the opinion that these currencies are being adjusted prior to the CBI announcing its new value. there will be no GCR...however, prior to the IQD's new value is released...many currencies will need to be adjusted...they may be doing that now...all currencies that are traded have a value in relation to each other...now insert the IQD which we believe will be quite valuable...all other currencies will need to be adjusted. amazed...how the CBI continues to makes preparation for the IQD. If Iraq was truly coming apart as the media reports...why would the CBI make this statement? Quote: "CBI: our reserves "safe" with banks abroad...CBI Governor Turki has said that the Iraqi reserves are safe and contained in banks abroad...the CBI has the ability to support the exchange rate of the dinar to the fullest extent...and without a roof"...without a roof... a ceiling...no limit to its value.

6-19-2014 *BGG ~White House calling for Maliki's removal today. [Removal, as in voluntary or involuntary?] involuntary. [when are they looking to force him out?] Sounds like soon. [Do u think they will press charges against him?] The UN will - I am fairly certain. [So, if M is forced out in the next day or so, how long afterwards till the CBI decided to RV?] they just said early 2015, Maliki inner circle says before Aug - I don't think there are any hard answers just yet. [Will Turki even be there next year?] I highly doubt it. [Maybe this is the smoke they said would come right before the rv?] not impossible.

6-19-2014 *Enorrste ~Article: "Iraq To Be Partitioned Into Three Independent States?" I just don't think that a partition is even on the table at this time. What is on the table is to solve the insurgency crisis. You don't have to partition the country to do that. The entire idea of a 3 state or 3 country solution is “pie in the sky” talk. It will not happen...there is no majority will for this to happen. That in itself is necessary. Maliki receives no benefit at all from a breakup of his country. ...things like the breaking up of a country into 3 parts is not easy. In Yugoslavia it tooks years and UN intervention before anything was accomplished. ..the CBI continues on its merry path toward moving from Article 14 to Article 8, as is evidenced by Turki’s statement yesterday that he is preparing to bring the dinar to the world stage. Maliki is using this "crisis" to get exactly what he wants: a continuation of his role as PM. He will promise these people anything they want, and then do whatever he wants afterwards. That has always been his modus operandi. The "crisis" will be shown to be his ticket to a third term.

6-19-2014 *Stryker ~Article: "Lawmakers, allies reportedly press White House to withdraw support for Iraqi PM" Article quotes: "The Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. officials have indicated their desire for Iraq's political parties to form a new government without Maliki that would comprise representatives of the country's Sunni and Kurdish communities." "The Shiite Maliki's party received the most votes in Iraq's parliamentary election this past April, but it did not receive enough to form a majority government. Maliki's efforts to find partners in a coalition government have so far been in vain." FINALLY THE U.S. MEDIA STARTS REPORTING THE REAL NEWS IN IRAQ...IT TOOK YOU GUYS LONG ENOUGH...
