Baghdad – Minister of Foreign Affairs Hoshyar Zebari, with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon relationship between Iraq and the General Secretariat of the United Nations on the sidelines of the International Conference on Afghanistan held in Bonn.
The Foreign Ministry statement today that the Secretary-General will present this month three reports concerning the relationship between Iraq and the General Secretariat on some issues remaining from the provisions of Chapter VII.
He added that the meeting touched on the visit of Prime Minister expected the United States, and what can emerge from this visit in terms of development of the relationship between Iraq and the United States and implications for Iraq’s relationship with the UN, particularly in the area of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq by the end of this year 2011.
The Iraq with 90 countries currently participating in the International Conference on Afghanistan, which opened yesterday in Bonn, Germany led the Iraqi delegation to the conference, Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Almanmr seen in the developments of the current transitional phase in Afghanistan, which expires in 2014 and to prepare for after this stage.
