announced the decision of the oil and gas in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, on Wednesday, an agreement in principle between the presidencies of the Council of Ministers and the Iraqi parliament on adoption of a draft law of oil and gas for the year 2007 for approval by the House of Representatives, adding that the Kurds supported that choice.

Committee was for the Unification of projects three laws proposed oil and gas emanating from the Iraqi parliament, had held its first meeting today to discuss the selection of one of those bills. noted that there are three bills currently in the Iraqi parliament, was presented first project in 2007, but due to the failure to reach a consensus on it hung in the House of Representatives, and the second project was presented by the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary, either third project has been sent to the House of Representatives in 2011 by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussain al-Shahristani, however, none of these projects has not received approval of Representatives so far .

According to Mohammad Qasim told the Kurdish news agency (Rn), that “there is an agreement in principle between the presidencies of the Council of Ministers and the Iraqi parliament representatives of two major blocs within the House and two a coalition and Iraqi rule of law, on adoption of the draft law of oil and gas for the year 2007 for approval by the House of Representatives, a selection thrown support the Kurds. ” Mohammed said that “That agreement would facilitate the work of the Commission for the Unification of the three bills proposed oil and gas.”

The file oil and gas, one of the main outstanding problems between the Kurdistan Regional Government, and the federal government, in the absence of a law regulating the affairs of oil and gas in Iraq.
