Shakes hands with US President Barack Obama and Raul Castro, Cuban presidents at a summit meeting in Panama in a rare encounter.
It is scheduled to hold US and Cuban presidents on Saturday, a historic meeting on the sidelines of the Summit of the Americas in Panama, in a move that constitutes a crucial stagein the process of rapprochement between the two countries.
The White House said that Obama and Castro Sathadthan on the sidelines of the 35 heads of states meeting in the first dialogue between the two heads of state since 1956.
It is worth mentioning that the United States and Cuba have begun a rapprochement between them last December.
This is the first time that the call for the Cuban leader to participate in this regional grouping draws since the first summit in 1994, where he was refused this post Cuba in the Caribbean in the previous summits because of opposition from the United States.
