BAGHDAD / Baghdadi News / .. confirmed that the US State Department on Friday said there is nothing to prevent the United States to withdraw from the agreement signed in 2015 with Iran over its nuclear program if the next US president, Donald Trump wanted it.
He said ministry spokesman Mark Toner in a press statement, he "Taking careful not to predict what it will do next administration, headed by Trump, who will takethe presidential office on January 20, any party can withdraw from the agreement reached between the great powers and Iran last year to ensure that the acquisition of Tehran's atomic arms ".
But Turner warned that "if Trump decided to withdraw from the agreement, the move will have serious consequences for the safety of the agreement."
The US official stressed that the agreement with Iran is not legally binding, but President Barack Obama's administration believes that the interest of the United States to stick with it.
In response to a question on whether the United States withdraw from the agreement means that Iran's resumption of work on the production of atomic weapons Toner said, "Yes, this is the reality of the situation."
