Jeffrey: U.S and friendly countries in the region committed to an independent, sovereign Iraq

Said U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffrey said the United States have great confidence in the institutions of the Iraqi state, stressing the role of free media in the face of challenges that may occur in Iraq.

In an interview, Jeffrey said there were threats to the ideology of political pressure and threats, so it is very important to have free media part of any solution can be reached.

For the security situation in general and diplomat said Jeffrey said the United States and friendly countries in the region is fully committed to the need for an independent Iraq, united, sovereign, pluralistic, democratic, and federal, that is what the Iraqi people sought and approved by the UN Security Council.
