Barzani supports Talabani's efforts to achieve success of Na

ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: Northern Iraq Kurdistan Region's President,
Massoud Barzani,
has highly assessed the efforts exerted by Iraqi President Jalal
Talabani, to achieve
success of the General National Conference, scheduled to convene at
the end of the
current month, in order to overcome the current crisis passing over
Iraq,: according to
a Kurdistan Presidency statement on Thursday.

Barzani's statement had been issued after one day from a statement by
the Chairman
of Kurdistan Region's Office Chief, Fuad Hussein, that the President
of Kurdistan would
boycott the General National Conference, scheduled to be held by the
Iraqi political
forces, in the event if the conference would be held in Baghdad.

Iraq is witnessing a major political crisis in the background of the
charges against its Vice-President and the leading element in
al-Iraqiya Alliance, Tariq al-Hashimy, with
having committed "terrorist" acts, along with a decision by Prime
Minister, Nouri al-Maliki
to withdraw trust from his Deputy Prime Minister, Saleh al-Mutlaq,
also a leader of al-Iraqiya Alliance.
