The start of the meeting of the Economic Committee of the Council of Arab Economic and Social

Began at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States yesterday of the meeting of the Economic Commission arising from the Economic and Social Council Arab expert level to prepare the economic file for the session 89 of the Council at the ministerial level to be held next Thursday.

The Committee discusses the two-day range of topics, including follow-up implementation of decisions economic issues in previous Arab summits and prepare for the upcoming Arab summit, including the follow-up phases of the implementation of the Arab Customs Union and Free Trade Area of the Great Arab and Arab investments, in addition to the work of specialized Arab organizations, the Forum of Arab cooperation internationally.

The Social Committee emanating from the Council prepared a social profile, which addressed a of items, including monitoring the implementation of previous resolutions of the Economic and Social Council and to prepare for the Arab summit economic and social development in its third session to be held in Saudi Arabia early next year and social issues to be presented to the Arab summit in Baghdad in March next and integrated program to support employment and reduce unemployment in the Arab countries and activating the Arab initiatives in order to focus on the social aspects and the promotion.
